The Competence Centre on Active and Healthy Ageing of the University of Porto - Porto4Ageing - is a multidisciplinary workgroup in the areas of ageing, digital health, entrepreneurship and innovation, based in the University of Porto. It promotes networking activities (building and managing national and international collaborative networks), research and development (designing and implementing R&D projects), training and capacitation of the population (such as students, healthcare professionals, caregivers, patients), and validation and scaling of innovative solutions.<\/span><\/h3>\n

In 2012, the University of Porto, together with local, regional and national institutions, integrated the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing (EIPonAHA<\/b>). In 2016, this network became a 2-star reference site and formalized the consortium Porto4Ageing. In 2019, Porto4Ageing was already a network of over 90 partners and was updated as a 4-star reference site (the highest reference site category).<\/span>EIPonAHA<\/a><\/strong>), em conjunto com v\u00e1rias institui\u00e7\u00f5es locais, regionais e nacionais. Nesta rede, em 2016, tornou-se um <\/span>reference site<\/span><\/i> de 2 estrelas e formalizou o cons\u00f3rcio Porto4Ageing. Em 2019, o Porto4Ageing era j\u00e1 uma rede de cerca de 90 parceiros, tendo sido atualizado como um <\/span>reference site <\/span><\/i>de 4 estrelas (a mais alta categoria de <\/span>reference sites<\/span><\/i>).<\/span><\/h3>\n

Since then, Porto4Ageing has participated in several European projects on active and healthy ageing and developed various technological platforms in the field of ageing and health, reinforcing the network of national and international partners of the University of Porto, organized dozens of events and activities and promoted several initiatives in health innovation.<\/span><\/h3>\n

Since 2018, it is part of the European Innovation and Technology Institute (EIT) as an EIT Health Innostars hub<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/h3>\n

In 2021, Porto4Ageing consortium participated in founding the Portuguese Network on Active and Healthy Ageing - Repensa<\/strong><\/span><\/a>.<\/h3>\n

El\u00edsio Costa \u00e9 Professor na Faculdade de Farm\u00e1cia da Universidade do Porto e investigador na Unidade de Ci\u00eancias Biomoleculares Aplicadas (UCIBIO) da mesma institui\u00e7\u00e3o. Desde 2016 que coordena o Porto4Ageing, e \u00e9 membro da Parceria Europeia para a Inova\u00e7\u00e3o em Envelhecimento Ativo e Saud\u00e1vel (EIP on AHA).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c9 coordenador de v\u00e1rios projetos da Universidade do Porto, como o <\/span>Innostars RIS Hub do EIT Health,<\/span><\/i> e autor de mais de 200 publica\u00e7\u00f5es\u00a0(<\/span>https:\/\/orcid.org<\/span>\/0000-0003-1158-1480<\/span><\/a>). Colabora ativamente em projetos nacionais e internacionais na \u00e1rea das doen\u00e7as cr\u00f3nicas, da ades\u00e3o \u00e0 terap\u00eautica, da literacia digital, entre outros.<\/span><\/p>\n

Joana Carrilho \u00e9 licenciada em Ci\u00eancias do Meio Aqu\u00e1tico e Doutorada em Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas pelo Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Biom\u00e9dicas de Abel Salazar – Universidade do Porto. Entre 2002 e 2013\u00a0esteve ininterruptamente ligada \u00e0 investiga\u00e7\u00e3o cient\u00edfica na \u00e1rea da gen\u00e9tica. A par do\u00a0crescimento\u00a0cient\u00edfico, desenvolveu tamb\u00e9m as suas compet\u00eancias de ensino e comunica\u00e7\u00e3o, sendo formadora e facilitadora certificada em Inova\u00e7\u00e3o (metodologia FORTH) especialmente na \u00e1rea da Sa\u00fade, e\u00a0mentora na \u00e1rea da comunica\u00e7\u00e3o e debate.\u00a0Antes de integrar a equipa da Universidade do Porto, trabalhou numa empresa de consultadoria nas \u00e1reas da internacionaliza\u00e7\u00e3o, gest\u00e3o e planeamento de projetos. Pedro Rocha licenciou-se e doutorou-se em Ci\u00eancias da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o pela Faculdade de Psicologia e de Ci\u00eancias da Educa\u00e7\u00e3o da Universidade do Porto, em 2008 e 2014, respetivamente.
